    Updated Ruger 10/22 take down

I picked up a take down a few months back mainly for the affordability of shooting it and to help introduce my 11 year old daughter to shooting. She is currently learning to shoot the stock version rifle which does have upgraded Kidd bolt and trigger. I picked up a Volquartson barrel and forearm upgrade and added a Leupold VX1 2-7 rimfire for me to shoot along with the quick detach bipod. Have to remove the scope and bipod for the bag though but can carry the stock barrel set up and upgraded barrel in the bag with the receiver. Will be going out Sunday hopefully to sight in the scope.

I really like that cantilever scope mount, keeps it's zero all the time. That is one of the TD's weak points.

Yes, that was a nice design thought by Volquartsen. The forearm comes with a small pic rail also to attach a bipod which was also well thought out by him.

I have a 6 year old also but like you going to wait a few more years. May just get her an air rifle so she can be like her big sister which she tried to do all the time at home.
