Another vote for the bettermag adapter and sw 15-22 mags. I tried it out for the first time and had no issues after the first round (which after further inspection revealed a deformed nose on the bullet)

I like having the mag adapter in place as it prevents a standard .223 mag from being loaded in the event there is any confusion over its rimfire status.

That makes me think of the only two drawbacks I found with the Better Mag adapter. (neither serious)

It is somewhat of a pain to install at first, but with practice is simple to do. While most would not have to remove it all that often. It does have to be done if you use the lower for multi use. Such as throwing a 5.56 upper. Which we do sometimes. I also have to remove it to use the 50 Round .22 BDM drums too.

Do not get me wrong. It is not all that hard to install. Just a trick to it, that once figured out is pretty routine.

Again, thanks for everyone's input. Will definitely have to try both out to see which works better for me. I don't mind spending the extra money for the redi-mag + S&W mags, but I'll give the BDM mags a try first

I also have the cmmg upper with S&W mags and adapter, and it runs flawlessly for me. Shoots and feels just like the real thing, well except now its rimfire.
