I do not know how often you guys check out the C&R section if ever. We have a once a month C&R shoot on the second Sunday of the month. It is very informal . We meet up around 8 am at the range and shoot our guns together. We are all equal weather it is a big 5 mosin or a 2,000 dollar rare WW 2 German simi auto.
Anyway this month we are bringing out our 22s and have a little show and tell . We are also going to have a little shooting contest. you do not need to be a club member to do this. We can sign you in as a guest and you can shoot all day if you want for 10 bucks. If you would like to shoot something that interests you C&R wise just strike up a conversation about the gun and ask to try it out with our ammo FREE. you can shoot something you may otherwise only see in a magazine.
the range is very professional with about 50 covered benches. As you inter the road to Lytle creek [ sierra ] from the 15 freeway you go about 2 miles . It is a dirt road for about one mile to the gate to the range. we shoot at 25 50 100 yards. the range provides free target stands , you just need paper targets and a stapler.
Their is a new posting for this shoot in the C&R section but you might want to look at the older posting and look at the pictures of our last shoot. If you bring a 22 rifle it does not need to be old, My 22 is a Savage Mk 2 with a heavy barrel and cheap scope. We have a lot of fun at these shoots, and the same folks have been coming for about three years . you do need to cross a DRY creek bed at the beginning but it gets better after that. If my 2012 ford Focus can do it your car or truck can without a problem.
