rimfire rifle competions in Bay Area

Hello everyone! Just ordered my CZ 455 Varmint Tacticool. I really missed my days of shooting and competing when I was in the Corps. I was wondering if you knowledgable folks on here know of any rimfire rifle competitions in the the Bay Area?

I know Chabot and Richmond hot shots have ranges to accommodate my 22lr rifle, but what about competitions?

Thanks guys! I can't wait to go back out there and get behind a rifle.

And yes, I checked the stickies. I am aware of the monthly Calguns competitions, which I will participate in the future.

Sunnyvale Rod and Gun has both benchrest and silhouette competitions on various saturdays. Check out their page for details.

If you find the smallbore silhoette targets too small, SVRGC also has lever action silhouette with larger targets that they may let you shoot unofficially with your gun.

Coyote Point has 3 position smallbore rifle, which may be more similar to military and might be more to your liking.

Do you know if Coyote Point will open any soon?

Sorry, no current info on them. The last time I shot their matches was around 2011.

Are there any places where they also do prone, sitting, sniper type multiple target acquisition competitions here? If not, Sunnyvale rod and gun club looks like the only place to shoot.

Looked at their site and it states that the range will reopen to the public on October 2, 2015. We shall see. Hopefully so.

How about an offer, an idea and an offer.

1st - The Offer: Take an Appleseed and have some fun and get reaquinted with shooting and familiarize yourself with your rifle. The AQT will remind you of something. Take it on my dime, CALGUNS will pay for your seat at a Seed.

Call it a Vet to Vet thing.

2nd - The Idea: Earn your Riflemans Patch at the Appleseed, pay attention to the range SOP and COI.
                  Now follow this link: http://nrasports.nra.org/3-gun-shooting-events.aspx
                  Download it and review it.
Send me a PM and volunteer to run 1 NRA 3GE

3rd - The Offer: CALGUNS will cover the start up cost if you will anchor and run the event.
