    Tactical Innovations CH22

Anybody have any experience with these aftermarket 10/22 recievers? I'm reading good things about them but was hoping to get some real world data from the CG community. I'm looking to build up a 10/22 and while I could certainly buy a base model and swap everything out, What's the point really...

I shoot AR and 10/22(and other rifle, pistol, shotgun).

Having shot many semi-auto's(AR, AK, SKS, Mini-14, various 22's) I have to say IMHO the AR charge handle is an odd duck design. I much prefer the side handle 10/22, Mini-14 etc.

Eugene Stoner designed some cool stuff. That charge handle is not one of them.

The 10/22 has its own little oddities like that cruddy designed bolt release. Now way I'd add a charge handle to one. IMHO, of course.

The T-shaped charging handle on the AR is not the original design.

The AR was originally designed with a top mounted charging handle.

The T-shaped charging handle came about due to US Army testing and requesting the top mounted charging handle be changed.

Would think a left hand charge might be a better idea. or a red dot sight.
