L96/awp/aics 22lr

Looking for advice on building an awp/L96 clone type 22 rifle.

What is a good 22 rifle base?

Would it work with this airsoft L96 rifle or is there something better? http://www.amazon.com/WellFire-Actio.../dp/B00FRRJ9WQ

Would a dremel be sufficient to make the conversion?

Or should I just scrap this idea and get the 10/22 collector edition for my first 22 rifle?

I'd love too, heck I'd get a rifle straight from AI but I don't have the dough for that. 22 is significantly cheaper to get and shoot.

Go to airsplat.com and look for a G96

The L96 is 3/4 size and cheap POS plastic

Dremel is fine and a power drill to inlet the action screws
