Henry H001 light strikes

Has anyone else had light strike issues with a Henry H001? I love the action and balance of the gun. I even like the trigger. BUT about 20-25% of the rounds don't fire. (The rounds are fine... I put them back in the rifle and they shoot the second time through.) Should I just call customer service? It's a new gun.

Had mine for many years and not one FTF that I can recall, did you try different ammo?

I tried three types of ammo. It effected the percentages but still MANY ftf's.

I have an issue similar to that with a big boy 45 LC that I bought used. Doesn't want to fire the last one or two.

That's what I call great customer service. I'll bet they have it back to you by the end of next week..

I think you'll be happy. I recently sent back a brand new H001M for the same issue; light strikes. Strikes on mine were also too far out on the rim, and I also wasn't happy with how the bore looked... About two weeks from the time I'd contacted Henry with my concerns, I had the rifle back, with a new barrel and new bolt. That was pretty amazing service!
