    10/22 Extended Release

Saw a Crossfire mag release at Cabelas today. The display was the release attached to a 10/22. Ambidextrous. Seems solid and didn't wiggle. Quite a bit Cheaper than tactical solutions.

Anyone used it? Any other recommendations or otherwise?

    Thanks

Personally, I like the Volquartsen - easy to drop by pushing forward on it with the trigger finger.

I just swapped out another type for one. The positive release is quick and easy.

It also won't dump your mag when you bump into something or are shooting off of your range bag and push forward.

I have the Volquartsen mag release on all three of my 10/22s.

I have a Kidd extended, the long one that wraps around the trigger guard, on mine.

Can't say enough good things about it. Mags drop free where before, with the shorter dreaded, maybe a volq, can't recall, but it wasn't nearly as positive as this one.

Thanks. Lots of choices. My 10/22 is 1980 and has the original 'flush' mag release. It works fine, just awkward with my fat fingers. Hopefully the dimensions of the older assemblies will accommodate these newer mag releases.

+1 for the kidd speed lever (long one that wraps under the trigger guard)

In this case, you do want to kidd yourself -- go with the kidd extended mag release.

Better than the KIDD is a KIDD with his trigger attached.
