22 pellets are cheaper. But a tank fueled gun is not exactly as portable.

I never understood the theory that full auto is more expensive to feed than semi-auto. The ammo is the same price. Unless one does mag dump after mag dump the ammount of ammo spent is not much more even factoring in 3-4 round burst.Always wanted a American 180.
You think shooting .22 ammo is expensive full auto. I have a M2 Carbine, well actually a M1 and my registered part in it is the disconnector lever.
Also have a full auto M11 9mm.
Now those are expensive too feed. So expensive I rarely shoot them anymore. They have just been relegated to a investment for future retirement sale.
If I had a American 180 would get shot alot.
Going to get one of those ugly slidefire stock one day and put it on one of my AR dedicated .22s. Look to work well with the right setup.
I love those 50 round Blackdog drums. I have three, but need to get atleast a few more before a new panic sets in.

Add into the equation the fun factor and full auto actually comes out ahead. For instance, a trip to the movies for my family is about $45 to see a cartoon I usually fall asleep watching. A trip out to the desert helping my son shoot his full auto .22 AR15 costs about $24 for 500 rounds of ammo and he is learning skills. After the movie we talk about it for about 5 minutes and then it is forgotten. After a desert shoot we talk about it for days and plan what other targets we want to use next time.
When I take my full auto STEN, AR15, or m1919 I usually gather a crowd of people that want to try. They load my mags and pay a donation to shoot that is more than the cost of ammo. The ones with kids that have no money I just have clean up the area after the shoot.

pellets might be cheaper but I have yet to seen tracer or incendiary pellets. Can't put on much of a night show with pellets.sigpic

A few months of the year I can ski up in flagstaff and then drive back to Phoenix and surf at one of the wave pools. Then I can go 30 minutes from my house and shoot machine guns.sigpic

I realize that is sarcasm, but usually when I hear people say that is why they love California I can take one look and it is obvious they don't do either activity ever, not to mention in the same day.
I have a better list of why it makes sense to live in California:
Close to Mexico (Convenient return for frequent deportee's)
Generous Welfare safety net (EBT, WIC, Section 8)
Driver's licenses available, no citizenship required
Junkie friendly (See Prop 47)
Convicted Felon friendly (See AB 109)
Sanctuary Cities
Unlikely to encounter armed victim during crime sprees
And for a few of us "good guys"
Job is here, too old to start over
Generations of family here
Too damned stubborn to leaveComment

I don't ski or surf anymore. my knees can't take the extra 50 lbs I carry around...and even if they could, I don't like the beach or swimming in the ocean, and cold is okay as long as I'm only in it long enough to get to the warmer indoor place I'm headed.
I do live in the same house I grew up in. I do like my job. I am very stubborn...I really don't talk to many of my siblings and extended family is basically nil.
Although if I sold the house before the market takes another dump, I could probably live off the proceeds for thenrestnof my life if I managed the finances frugally (like that's gonna happen).
Living here my whole life makes me scared of your first list!

I can't believe where this state has gone.
Sorry, not sorry.
