i got a marlin model 80 bolt action it hasnt been used in years but went to use it today
loaded it up went to fire it and nothing the striker as already been fired cock it again the striker is not catching on the trigger for some reason
i'm like what the heck i take the action out of the stock everything works perfect
i put it back in and once again striker follows the bolt
then i realize the bottom of the trigger is resting on the triggerguard so it is set back just enough to not catch the striker
so i took the guard off dremmeled with a sanding drum taking off about 2 millimeters and now it works
just a warning cant blame all plastics but i suppose 50 year old marlin plastic probably outlased its projected lifespan
