Taurus Model 94 Trigger Job, Reliability- Used a Taurus 85 firing pin

So After much work on my Taurus 94, I finally was able to get the trigger pull down (from factory) and the reliability way up, even better than factory. In summary, the firing pin itself may be a big culprit in its trigger issues. I think they are made short purposefully to avoid damaging the cylinder when accidentally dry fired.
I solved this using a slightly modified Taurus 85 firing pin.

I purchased a used Taurus 94, circa late 80's, pretty much mint condition,
I estimate the factory trigger pull is over 18#, I could not measure it with a trigger pull gauge it was so high. I even had approx 1 in 15-20 rounds NOT fire!
After some polishing of the internals, I still could not get a light trigger pull, so I swapped the factory springs for my factory 642 springs, which did lighten the pull some to ~12-13# Double action.
I got light strikes with this spring setup - 1 round in 9 would not fire with nonbulk stuff
So I wanted to slightly sharpen the firing pin and apparently FUBARd it, became really brittle.
I ordered a 94 firing pin off Numrich, but they sent me a Taurus 85 firing pin instead.
I was about to return it, but noticed is was approx 0.02" longer and about 0.005" wider than the 94 pin, so I decided to reduce the diameter, polish it up and chisel tip it. It absolutely hammers the 22 snap caps (yellow wall anchors) so that they need replacing after dry firing a few times.
Voila, now 100% reliable ignition with any 22 I throw into it with this setup. Its great shooter now for the kids.
I will take pics and probably try a lighter hammer spring the next go round.

The biggest issue with the trigger pull on these is the weight stacking of the spring. A progressively wound spring would have been a better choice in manufacturing.

yes, the factory spring is absolutely horrendous. If Im not mistaken, pretty close or at coil bind. So it was the first thing to go, but changing the spring increases light strikes.
