    New 10/22

Found a 10/22 I hadn't seen before at Turner's. Comes in a TacStar camo stock with pistol grip & adjustable butt. It's not even in the Ruger catalog.

Looks like it has the features I want & none that I don't. Also an insert so I can put in a .920" barrel down the road if I want. And without a mile or two of useless rails everywhere it doesn't come off as another tacticool wannabe black rifle.

Here's a picture of the stock.Anybody have one of these?

I pick it up in 10 days. Off to order up a VQ hammer...

I bought my girlfriend the muddy girl edition of that stock. It's actually really nice, but you don't have to buy the entire gun to get it. You can buy these stocks separately online. The pattern ones like this can usually be found for abroad $125, but I saw the all black version recently for $79. It is a really good stock and the best non-wood stock out there.
I voted against Obama before it was cool.

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

Thanks for that. I was in the market for a new 10/22 to use as a base for a semi/sorta/kinda serious target rifle. I'll be adding stuff as I go. It's "only" my third 10/22 and each fills a niche.
