    Remington Golden Bullets

I wasn't sure where to put this, and I couldn't find a range report, so I put it here in the Gallery. I hope you don't mind.

I mentioned to some of you that when I go shooting, I usually warm up with Rem GB's. I find them quite accurate, disregarding the flier now and then.

By flier, I usually mean 10" plus from target. I usually get one every 10 round mag or two. I'm talking about at 50 yards now.

The last time I went shoot, about two weeks ago, at the end of my "warm up" the range called for a closed range to service our targets. I had just finished shooting my last preloaded mag of the GB's. If I would have remembered my camera, I would have taken some pics, but I forgot. I even brought along some paper NRA small bore 50 yard targets that I had intend to shoot. But I didn't put them up as I didn't want to wait around til the next range closing, which could be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. Sue is usually the one who walks down the isle to see if we can have a self imposed closing. This is what usually happens.

Anyway, I pulled off the 3" Shoot 'N C target and brought it back with me. For some reason, I didn't get a flier with this ten rounder. If you look close, your see a couple overlaps.

Was this a good mag. You betcha. Was it great. Nope. I've done better with the GB's.

Oh, one other important thing. This was shot in under 15 seconds, probably more like 10-12 seconds. I don't lolly dolly around when I begin a mag.

Looks like one of mine....when I'm 10 yards out.

When you say 'warm up' do you mean you or the guns? I usually alternate shooting larger pistol and 22 pistol to slow things down a bit.

I was using my Ruger 10/22 Cabelas' Aniversary model 11165 with a Nikon Rimfire Prostaff scope. There's a couple of pics of mine I posted here in the gallery somewhere.

I alternate rifles and if the range isn't too crowded, I'll set up another target at 100 yards in another lane.
