When you get it dialed in to your liking, get some RWS R50 or some Eley Match, and see what it will really do. You may even want to step up to a Lilja barrel.

You will find that the CZ rifles love SK Std+ ammo and will shoot circles around the Thunderbolts. In fact check out your bore as the TBs are known to lead up the bore in some firearms very quickly. SK ammo will shoot 1/2" 5 shot groups @ 50 yds consistently.

As far as a match, join the monthly rimfire matches here in the Rimfire forum.

Nice. It's on my list of rifles to acquire at some point. I need a bolt action to have a chance at competing with the guys at my range.

I see you are in the bay area. If you ever go to the Richmond range (I usually go on Saturdays), let me know. I'll give you a few mags of target ammo to try. I'm interested in what the gun will do, so maybe seeing your results will push me over the edge on buying one.

Or if you shoot at the concord range, I'm there most Sunday's. When they open. I've got sk+ and match you can try out. I sent my 455 varmint barrel to Randy at CPC to get the crown recut.

izzy43, how do you check for leading? I clean all my firearms after every range time. Currently using ballistol.

RawHP, I usually go to Metcalf range in s.sj. But if I go up to Richmond I'll let u know for sure. I'd say just get one and u'll just drool all over it. I tried the trigger pull on the 10/22, savage mk2 and Merlin... Didn't really like them at all. The trigger on the CZ was very crisp and on my 455 didn't have any creep.

Being a novice at cleaning lead from a barrel I used Hoppes #9 the first time I had to clean out lead (wrong solvent) and it took a lot of scrubbing. Ballistol should work good. Just look for any small shiny flakes of lead on the patch after you run it thru the bore. If none there, you should be good to go.

Those @$%& thunderbolts leaded the barrel so bad in my Henry Frontier it was coming out in 1/2 to 1" strips. I'll never shoot that crap again.

Ok just got done installing the #144 spring and I even clipped off 1 ring from it. It passed the bump test.. But I don't have a trigger gauge to test out. But definitely felt lighter than before.

Quick question, I see there's a turn knob that the spring sits in... Should I counter clockwise it all the way back down? Default it was sitting pretty high compressing the original spring.

Nice shooting. I need some CZ rifles now to compliment my CZ pistols.
