Interesting. I have issues with all Fed ammo in my semis. Yes, the guns are kept in top condition. I use Feds in my revolver and bolt. Most people claim Fed is good ammo. I sure it is, I just don't seem to have good luck with it.

10 cents a round shipped to my house for CCI is not a bad price. Before the shortage it was about 7 cents a round after taxes at WallyWorld. So 3 cents more, I can still afford. I was at Los Altos range and they wanted $30/100rds.
Now, That is over the top!

CCI Standard Velocity is great for manually operated rifles. It is very good target ammo. I get awesome groups with my Remington 512 @ 50yds. It does cycle fine in my Nylon 66, but have heard complaints about it not being great in many semi-autos.

Odd, i have yet to find ammo that wont cycle the 10/22 (excluding colibri) as well as my hunter. Cci quite and sub's work fine too. Guess im lucky.

With my job (truck driver) I don't have time to scour every possibility for .22lr.
I'm glad I ran across this link and was able to get some ammo for her. A wonderful opportunity.
My one day off each week is spent trying to share time with all 4 of my kids. Rimfires are a tiny part of my life (and firearms). She and I did other things.

That's how it works with my Mosquito. GB = GTG. Anything that starts with "Fed" = single shot.

That is odd that the CCI standards will not work in your semi autos. It runs great in our AR 22 uppers, her Ruger SR22 and our Marlin semi autos. (Model 99s and 60s)

I really like it in the old Marlin 39a Lever too..Quiet and accurate. Not too often you here anyone call any CCI "crap"

I do have a older Browning Challenger, pre Buckmark, that does not like the CCI standards for some reason.

So Fishslayer, the Mosquito you have does the same malfunction as the Wifes SR22? I just cannot figure out why her Ruger only does this with the Federals and always only after the first round is fired.

I have worked on Firearms since I was 12 and this is a complete anomaly to me.

My M&P 22 pistol chewed up and spit out 800 rds of CCI standard velocity in the past year without 1 single failure.
The only ammo that had any issues in that pistol was the Federal Target Grade which is optimized for semi auto, go figure.

Not a bargain as Walmart sells them for $25ish dollars when in stock but if the point is to take daughter shooting then pick some up. Like I posted they are currently allowing you to buy 10 bricks at a time.
