May also want to look into red dot. Scopes, off hand can be harder to use.
I have red dots mounted on Buckmark and Ruger SP101 (22lr). Should be good for 25yds. Don't know about the 50.

Another vote for a red dot over a scope. I'm currently running a Burris FF III on a Ruger Mk III and it's been good on squirrels up to 50 yards. I think it would work well on your revolver though I don't know what mount options you have.

I'm definitely considering the Burris again for other applications.

Come on, its a cowboy gun, use iron sights like real cowboys.

John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Audie Murphy, Lee Marvin would never use a scope or red dot sight on their six shooters.

Yah, I did that, my eyes ain't so good now though
I'm actually more of an iron sight person, I won't let my kids use scopes on their 22s, making sure they can use iron if needed
But this is my toy for the time being and I have never put a scope on a pistol and figured this would be a fun thing to do, and as mentioned earlier, can't see an X to hit it, and want to take care of some squirrels without too much missing
