Sig Mosquito and Sig .22lr conversion kits dry fire

So I've done extensive investigating on Sigs rimfire firearms and have come to the conclusion that Sig did it right. Basically the firing pin hits nothing more than the rim of the cartridge and travels no further than that and couldn't strike the barrel and ruin the pin. I'm not sure if the M&P 22 or any other rimfire semi autos are that way but I would say to those that worry about slide lock not available on your P series conversion and dropping the hammer on an empty chamber should have nothing to worry about.

The firing pin is not the big issue with dry firing, its peening the edge of the chamber that is the major concern. Replacing a firing pin is no big deal but the chamber problem is.

Well again I understand that but after checking again the distance of the travel of the firing pin it still doesn't touch the barrel and in turn the chamber
