How long does Browning take to repair a firearm? 2 months

Browning has had my rifle for 6 weeks now. I called for repair status and apparently, "it's with a gunsmith." Anybody have experience sending a firearm to Browning for repairs? How long did it take to get it back? How much did they charge?

Update on 4/14/15: Browning had my rifle since 2/18 and the expected delivery back to me is 4/15. Woohoo! They didn't charge me for the nonwarranty repair. Let's see how it functions when I get it back.

What are they doing to it? How old is your gun? Pistol, rifle?

It's a 22lr lever action rifle that's probably 20+ years old, but has been unfired until this year. The lever is stuck.

They might be looking for parts or trying to make the parts if its no longer available. If theres any refinishing involved it could delay it by at least 2 more weeks since its done in batches. Remington asked me to go to an authorized local smith for a part replacement. Good luck!

Seems reasonable to me. Warranty repairs usually get first priority, in any business. Widgits, cars, guns, watches....
