    My 617 ready for competition

    Here is my 617 ready for 2-gunning and steel challenge.
    Added a Burris Fastfire
    Got some Jerry Miculek grips
    and a Safariland competition holster

      Congrats and good luck!

      I rented one when I was teaching my daughter to shoot for the first time. I told her I would buy her a Single Six, but she said "that one is prettier." Yes she has an eye for quality.

      I love the old Smiths.

      What did you do to that finish? Wire brush? It can be fixed.

          Ill get it bead blasted eventually but it works fine right now so I leave it

              Mine, also set up for steel challenge. Pre lock 617-0 series. Back to S&W for a action Job and Bead Blast about 8 years ago...

              Same holster but for steel challenge you start at low ready. So I use a SpeedSec holster instead...faster if needed for Bianchi matches...

                  Nice I definitely need to get it bead blasted and the action worked.

                      Took it to the Rimfire match at Piru and man she rocked ...... probably shot the best I ever did today
