    Ruger Mark II competition target

    Hi
i posted this question in the wrong section so i repost this here.
I check the CA roster for Ruger and it's mostly showing revolver. Is the Ruger Mark II competition target on the list? I'd like to get one from Gunbroker.com
    thanks

    check this site: http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/

if it's not listed on there.. even if you buy from gunbroker, you won't be able to ship it into Cali.

for competition targets 22LR.. you might want to look into the Olympic exempt pistols instead. then you can get those shipped into Cali no problem.

    check here: http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/op.pdf

Ruger Mark II competition target are no longer made by Ruger, as are all other Mk.II models. The latest Mark is Mk.III.

All Mk.II are not on the roster and have to transfer by PTP.

All 22 ruger autoloaders were not renewed for the list by ruger. your only choice now is PPT or if you have a parent or child out of state.

I bought a MK 3 Competition last year as an SSE. I don't believe you can get one new anymore in CA.

thanks guys. I saw a Ruger mark II Government target on Calguns but asking price is $950. Condition is not pristine either and only 1 mag included. i guess i'll pass on this deal for now.

That's not a deal, just a rip off.

I have to agree. They are great shooters with Standard Velocity types of ammo. Not worth that much though. Just be patient and cruise your local shops on a regular basis. Something will show up. c good

If that gun was in very good to excellent condition, then yeah that's an ok price (for the PRK). But being the main spring housing area looked like butter knife was used to pull the release lever (repeatidly) & the frame is all dinged up, that degrades the physical condition. On a beater standard model or bull barrel is one thing but to see that on Goverment Model Target, Fo' Shame!

If you want a shooter, just wait until until you see a MkIII comes up. You'll have to deicde if you are willing to spend the black market prices that people are asking for them. For NIB or near new, I would go MSRP + some.

But if you're going to be a collector, ANY MkII that you see will be snatched up very quickly. BTW, I'll give you time to step away before I knock you over and run up/over your back side trying to buy that gun (lol, JK!)

The hell with that! Might as well get yourself a Smith 617 or a Browning Buckmark. You will be getting a NEW and nicer gun with warranty.

That is an unconscionable rip off.

I got a nice ruger marklll from a member here. Yes i overpaid, but so worth it. I would hold out until a mark shows up. My hunter is a tackdriver. It shoots better than i.
The hunter i had received was almost mint, in the box, three mags. Yes they are around. Check armslist as well. Only a ptt now a days in kommifornia.
Good luck on what you decide.

Can you over pay? Yep, we all do at times in our lives, so what.
My govt. model shoots as well as a Smith 41 and they go for even more $.

If he's got it and you want it you pay the price or not.
If not, check out the Browning Buck Marks. They are on the roster.
That may give you what you want.

I think the Seller is on crack. Butt crack pistol is worth 250-300 tops. I have seen some nice rugers in socal for 400 or so in near new condition here on cg.
