Match 22lr ammo?

I've shot federal 525 value packs, blazer, and some cci standard velocity ammo.
I was wondering what match ammo you guys have used and what you would recommend to try.

I've seen eley mentioned around a few forums. Anything besides that that I should try out?

If it makes any difference id be shooting it out of a stock 10/22

Wolf Match Extra usually shoots pretty well. It can be found for around $8.00+ per box of 50. Eley generally goes for a bit more to quite a bit more per box depending on which one you want to try.

I have some for sale. The wolf match and SK shoot very similar. I haven't tried the Aguila yet.

That makes all the difference in the world. You are just throwing money down a hole shooting match grade ammo in a stock 10/22.

I see where you're coming from, but before adding a bull barrel, a new trigger, different bolt and all the other good things to upgrade a 10/22, don't most people stress the type of ammo being shot thru the gun?

You'll want the ammo that works the best with your rifle.

Some of the Eley or Lapua lines will generally be the best. You do not want supersonic ammo for accuracy as .22lr supersonic will often go transonic before hitting the target, generating a slight wobble.

However, with a basic 10/22, you will not realize the accuracy and precision of the highest grades of match ammo. I'd recommend some ammo that is decent, but not the high end stuff. For this, some of the basic SK lines or Norma would fit the bill nicely without braking the bank. You should see a nice improvement over some of the rubbish ammo like Remington Garbage Bullet, Remington Thunderturd, or that Armscor Filipino ammo that I wouldn't even put in my chamber.

Wolf MT and SK Standard + are good low priced subsonic, with Wolf ME being a step up.
Lapaua Midas, RWS R50 are some good midrange ammo, with Eley Match(aka black box) is a little better, but subsonic ammo doesn't cycle very well in some simi-autos.
It all shoots good in bolt actions.
If I was shooting a stock 10/22, I wouldn't waste money on high dollar ammo. Kinda like burning nitro-methane in a Volkswagen bug.

You can upgrade every piece of that rifle, and it still ain't gonna be an Anschutz.

Stuff like CCI standard velocity aren't that bad in an average off the shelf rifle. First start with a few boxes of different grades and see how much return you get. Some of the issue can also be user induced (not saying you are a bad shot, but it is often the case where the operator can improve accuracy--you have the rifle, ammo, and shooter--often there are various ways to see incremental improvement).

In my experince CCI Standard Velocity is a real standout performer among inexpensive ammo... often almost as good as the very best stuff (Wolf). But it depends on the rifle. My CZ 452 will shoot 1 MOA with just about anything you feed it, but my Marlin 70 has distinct preferences.

What kind of groupings are you getting now? Hard to tell if it'll fix a problem for you if we don't know you have a problem.

My groupings arnt great and I'm sure there's a good amount of shooter error involved, I still have around 4k rounds of the federal value packs to practice with. I was just interested in which match ammo was available to get further down the road

As stated above, CCI std vel is the "best bang for the buck" Literally!
I don't know if the high end stuff that costs 2-3X is going to show much
difference with a 10/22
