    Browning Buckmark / Grip removal

    Hello Gunners,

I want to replace the stock grip on my Buckmark Standard URX.

I read that there are a lot of working parts beneath those stock grips.

Do I only remove the two screws (one on each side) and then carefully slide the grip down. It looks like it wraps completely around the back side. The stock grip looks like only 1 piece.

1 post recommended laying the piece on its side and removing it piece by piece but I don't think that is correct.

No pics to show (at work).

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Love the gun, love the way it shoots, probably my favorite .22 pistol so far I'd really like to put on a pair of custom Hogue grips instead.

Oh and the front sight and I didn't get along that well. It was replaced with a red TruGlo, a much better fit for me.

    Thanks Community

The URX grips fit differently than the old design with two separate side panels. There are Hogue and Tac Sol that fit the old design. I'm not aware of any replacement grips for URX, make sure to check compatibility

Here is a better video than the one I posted earlier showing removal of the one piece URX grip. It's true, there are some loose parts that are retained by the grips that can drop out once the grip is removes so just be careful not to lose them and be mindful of how they go back in.

Do you have a picture of your grips? I'm not exactly sure what model buckmark I have, but the grips on mine feel pretty good, they're molded and sticky (not in a bad way).. it's a rediculously accurate pistol too. It's killed more gophers in my yard than any trap has.
