    10/22 Takedown 50th Anniversary edition

Well, I treated myself to a Ruger 10/22 Takedown 50th Anniversary edition. This is a beautiful rifle. Sorry for the low quality pics, but it was dark when I got it home. I equipped it with a Volquartsen drop in trigger group and an Aimpoint CompC3 Red Dot Sight mounted on the stock Weaver base.

Range report will follow as soon as possible!

Nice rifle. I just picked up a takedown, but not the anniversary.

I like the wood. Are there several different versions of the 50th Anniversary takedown? I picked up one last Thanksgiving on a Black Friday special and the bolt is stamped with the 50th Anniversary logo/markings. But, it stainless with a black composite stock.

All, or nearly all, of the 2014 production had the 50th Anniversary logo stamped on the receiver and bolt.

The rifle in the OP is very nice indeed, thanks for posting the photo. I like how the gap in the stock is much smaller than in the Ruger OEM stocks. I believe that particular special edition is made by Altamont.

The model the OP got is a Talo "limited edition" and is called the "Classic VI 50th Anniversary 10/22 Takedown" or the "Altamont Classic VI w/Checkering", Ruger SKU 11187.

I break mine out of jail (along with its Classic V non-takedown brother) on Friday.
