    Building a 10/22 M1 carbine

I got an email from Sarco showing their M1 carbine stock and I got to thinking ...
That would be a great way to finish off my 10/22.
I already bought and installed Tech Sights
(and the knurled knob for easily adjusting the sight)

an extended mag release, the pull and release auto bolt lock, and a nylon bolt buffer.

So, here's what I ended up ordering to finish off my project:

    Sarco 10/22 M1 carbine stock

    O.D. sling and metal oiler

    HTA 10/22 mag coupler
(I have the black magazines, the clear ones are just in the picture)

And finally, JWH Custom Extended Parkerized Charging Handle

Now I'm just waiting for it all to arrive so I can put it together.
    Pics to follow.

How come ya didn't get the folding paratroop stock? Been thinking about that myself. Where did you get the mag coupler? I've tried using the one that connects 3 mags but if the mags are connected to that the mag loading device won't load them, one as singles mags.

I don't like the paratrooper stock.

Here's the link for the mag couplers: HTA 10/22 Magazine Coupler

1022fungun.com has a 10/22 mag conversion that looks like an M1 carbine magazine.

Thanks for the link, I think these will work better than my Trimag holders.

Just ordered 4 and they are on sale for $7.99!

Parts arrived over the past few days.
I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with the new parts.
            It looks great.
The double mags fit in the Butler Creek mag loader, in case anyone wondered.
Oh, the Sarco stock came with the sling and oiler.
It's also easy to thread the sling through the stock, around the oiler, and back through.
There's a small channel inside the cutout that the sling pushes through.

Nicely done! Got my mag connectors today, thanks for that info. Also I found they don't work with my RAMLINE or SHOOTERS RIDGE loaders so will be getting the Butler Creek version. Neither of my loaders would work with the TRIMAG setup either so I had gone back to singles.
              LINK for the mag pouches?
I just checked and they don't readily slide in or out of the USGI 2 mag M1 Carbine/2 Enbloc Garand pouches.

That looks fantastic. Much much nicer than one of those citadel,Chiappa or whatever M1 Carbine copys. You did a very nice job.
