Savage MK II "*V" There are several configs with different stocks such as the BV, FV and so on-hence the "*", and the "V" designates the varmint (or heavy) barrel models.

Boyd's stock or something else? I used the Boyd's classic laminate on mine.

And to illustrate what a sneaky d**k I am about it, I painted it the same color scheme as the "F" or synthetic stock with krylon wrinkle on the smooth surfaces, and krylon satin black on the checkered areas-you can't tell the difference by looking. I also added 3 lbs. of lead shot to the butt.

So now at the range, I get the "You should get rid of that plastic stock", and the I let them pick it up. Should see the confused looks.......

They don't make a really great one any more....but you can still get one.

On the lighter side big 5 had the new bolt 22 by Ruger out for $279..,
