Savage MK II "*V" There are several configs with different stocks such as the BV, FV and so on-hence the "*", and the "V" designates the varmint (or heavy) barrel models.

Explore Savage's range of rifles, shotguns, and handguns, designed for any hunting or shooting need. Innovative features ensure there's a Savage for everyone.

scroll down to the MK II series and see all the "V" models available

Savage Mark 2 heavy barrel 20" bolt action. I upgraded the stock. Flimsy plastic stock came with it. This one: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...IFV+22LR+AT+HB

Boyd's stock or something else? I used the Boyd's classic laminate on mine.

And to illustrate what a sneaky d**k I am about it, I painted it the same color scheme as the "F" or synthetic stock with krylon wrinkle on the smooth surfaces, and krylon satin black on the checkered areas-you can't tell the difference by looking. I also added 3 lbs. of lead shot to the butt.

So now at the range, I get the "You should get rid of that plastic stock", and the I let them pick it up. Should see the confused looks.......

CZ 455 Varmint. If I'm not mistaken it's the plain Jane version of rifle pictured above.

I have this same rifle (different scope). It's scary how good it is.
