    Ruger 10/22 identification

I inherited a Ruger 10/22 which has a black stock, blued receiver and barrel, and what appears to be mini factory accessory rails on each side of the barrel where the front barrel band is located. Anyone ever see this model or own one? I can't find one like it on the Ruger website. Thanks for any info you might have.

    Pics?

Sounds like it's just an aftermarket barrel band on a stock base model.

That's what I thought but it looks factory.

A lot of them were built as "dealer specials" or for stores like Big5. From the serial number you can narrow down what year it was made. That may help.
Just Google "Ruger 10/22 serial number".
