Just Jailed a Browning Buckmark

That's the truth. One of the ROs at LAR&G loves it when I break out my Buck Mark. It's a 5.5" Contour with a Burris Fastfire III. Why does he love it? Because I use it to shoot out the staples in my target to drop it free. No, I can't shoot the nuts off a flea nor give it a vasectomy, but if I hold it steady, I can shoot the staples. It's an accurate and fun gun.

PS to the OP - Get the little Wilson Combat mag loader for it. It's helpful. And buy mags when you find them on sale. They usually sell for around $30, but if you check all the regular websites, I've bought some for as low as $22 on sale. The following statement is true.
The preceding statement was false.Comment

Buy this worth every dime......
The two hex screws on top can sometimes loosen leading to light strikes.
Use plumbers tape or a touch of blue locktite to prevent during re-assembly.
Might not be a good idea to dryfire, from what I've read this can vary one to the next, you can check with a piece of paper to see if it is striking the barrel or not if I recall correctly.
Picture of potential damage here....
The magazine disconnect can easily be removed if desired....
They are so fun.Last edited by CessnaDriver; 02-19-2015, 7:27 PM.

I think the Buckmark is the best .22LR semi auto pistol you can buy and love mine. It's accurate and has a great trigger out of the box which is good because aftermarket support isn't great.

No need to downgrade and get the Ruger

I've got a Buckmark that I've had for almost 20 years. A couple years ago I upgraded from the stock 5.5" steel stock barrel to a 7.5" Tactical Solutions Tac Lite 7.5" barrel and added a Trijicon 3.25MOS RMR on a Tactical Solutions rail. It's really a lot of fun and can likely generate groups tighter than I can. It makes converting non shooters easy and a lot of fun. They get fascinated with the red dot and aren't freaked out by the recoil, especially when they immediately get on the paper.
I'd love a S&W Model 41 and will hopefully score one someday, but for now, this rig rocks!
Good stuff!

You CGers keep making me spend money.
May have to get a new barrel or two.
My wife has the stainless version and that is her favorite.Originally posted by Kestryll:
