Aimpoint adjustment knobs- which way do they go ?

I just mounted the Sightmark version of the Aimpoint Red Dot scope on a 9mm AR/ OLL build. Unfortunately it doesn't ship with a users guide, can someone tell me which control is windage and which elevation ? Does the dial cover protector need removal prior to adjustment ? I assume turning the adjustment knob clockwise is 'right' windage, counterclockwise 'left' ?

generally (though there are some notable exceptions), when positioned behind the rifle in a firing position the windage will go to the right and the elevation will be on top.

    Yours is fine.

Yea, I figured as much but you never know. That would make a clockwise turn of that knob a bullet impact moved to the right...

... and a clockwise turn of the top knob translating to a bullet impact moved.... 'up'- right ?

You will also need to remove the covers in order to turn the knobs. Then you can use a dime or whatever to turn them.

alot of people get thrown off by the scope adjustments. ive seen people burn thru 120+ rounds trying to sight in a scope.

          to zero a scope........
point of aim(poa) should always be the same. the adustment knobs will move the point of impact(poi) so, if you aim at the center of the target and your low 4 inches and off to the right 3 inches then you look at the arrows on the adjustent knobs and turn them to move the poi.
