Anyone with Aimpoint Micro T1 2MOA red dot light going out issue?

Bought it brand new oin 2012. I typically use it at setting 9, only turn it on when I'm actually doing live fire. After 250 rds, today I took it out again, the battery on a battery tester is only showing one notch down, practically new, shot a few 5.56 rounds, the red dot completely went out. Turned the brightness knob back and forth a few times, then the red dot came back on again, shot a few more rounds, the red dot completely went out again. Replaced the battery with a brand new tested battery, same issue. To get it working again, I had to turn the brightness knob back and forth over and over until it came back on, but each time, after a few rounds, it completely goes out again, even thru all the brightness settings. It has NEVER been banged around, I only shoot benched, prong and off hand, I'm sure this is a quality product, maybe it's just my luck, that it is starting to fail so soon. Anyone had similar issues? Possibly seems like a poor contact issue.

Spoke with Aimpoint, great customer service! Most likely the battery cover just needed a little more tightening, will test again on next live fire day. They said that 90+ of this issue that they get calls for is the cover not completely tight. Typically, once the cover FEELS tight, people tend not to want to over tighten, but it actually need to be tighten about one more turn after that, cause there are two rubber seals inside the cap. If tighten properly, there should be no gap at all between the cap and dial. My bad, live and learn

I've had my Aimpoint H1 turned on since mid 2013. I just leave it on all the time without issue. Sorry yours went out, I hope it ends up fine. Once you get it fixed, just leave it on, the great thing about Aimpoints is you never have to turn them off.
So um... moon labia or something.

I had the same issue at the range once(first time using my H1). Luckily I had a quarter or was it a nickel in my pocket and tighten the battery cover. WAH-LA! Never happened again. Hope everything works out.

            Happy Shooting!
