Hey guys so i am getting ready to buy a 1-4 scope. I have a few picked out and wanted to know from your guy's experience with these scopes.

    Burris mtac/tac30
I played with these both today at turners and really like both. Mtac was a little bit nicer and felt robust. I dig the reticle.

    Muller speed shot
I like it cause its simple and has pretty good reviews

    Vortex viper pst
Very nice scope, i cant see the difference between the burris glass and this scop i am new to this type of optic. Its a little out of my price range but you have to love the warranty. The reticle isnt my favorite.

Bushnell ar optics Throwdown plc illuminated btr reticle
Havent messed with one but it seems promising and gets good reviews.

These are the scopes i am looking at and think fir very nice. Its just hard pinning it down to which one. I plan on using it for 0- 300 yrds +/-. I appreciate any info on these if you have any experience. Also if you have put any one of these through it paces.

    Thanks guys

Check out the Leatherwood CMR too.
    Great clarity for the price.

I have heard of it and it seems to get good reviews. Does the green show better than the red?

I've owned the Vortex and looked through the MTAC.
Vortex has nice glass, but the illumination basically doesn't exist in daylight.
MTAC has awesome illumination, but I didn't like the reticle design or the way the reticle was etched on the glass (looked like a bunch of stacked lines instead of solid bars)

If I were to buy again, I'd probably go with the PCL -- cheaper to buy and a good mix of the features I wanted from a 1-4x. (I'd probably skip everything on the list and get a really nice red dot instead though).

I tried the red dot and i am one of those who sees a blob. I really wanted an eotech. But all i see is a bunch of dots and it distracted my eyes alot. Variable power scopes worked ver nice for me. I really like the mtacs reticle because it stands out to me. The vortex was so nice but that reticle is just hard for me to pick up. The pcl looks very good but it does have mixed reviews. Mtac and voetex knock it out of th park in terms of reviews.

The CMR illumination is strictly for low light use. Same on either color

Next-cubicle neighbor has the MTAC, and likes it.

I have a Viper PST, and the illumination isn't an issue for me, i think a lot of manufacturers provide settings at the top end of illumination that is useless unless you're shooting at the sun. It just ends up blooming like mad, so it effectively reduces the available settings. Not an issue with the Vortex. And the warranty (and the related customer service experience) is unparalleled in the industry.

I've used the Nikon, it's a very nice scope, the throw down lever is useful, but you can add a non-folding version to virtually any optic.

Yeah i think vortex has the best warranty and they take care of their customers. I like the mtacs reticle and the vipers reticle but i hand it to the mtac for its ability to be picked up faster atleast to me. I will most likely go burris unless i find something that is better.
