    EoTech T-Dot CQB reticle

    New HWS by EoTech...

Made exclusively for Brownells. It's based on the EXPS2-2 HWS (Holographic Weapon Sight), only difference being (from what I can see) the "t-dot" reticle and lack of nvg support. So, my question, does anyone think it worth having an aiming point for 7 yards/CQB type engagements? I personally don't use sights at all for close work like that, instead relying on body mechanics and repitition drills to make "snap shots" when coming up from a low-ready. How do you train for short range target engagement with a HWS?

I know I have my own opinion on this sight... Does anyone have a good case for having a 7-yd aiming point on a HWS like this? Your thoughts?

You will not rise to the occasion, you will fall back on your training.

Sounds pointless to me. The 65 MOA circle that eotech reticles normally have, should be plenty enough to center a target at that short of a range and pull the trigger.

Even still, the "tdot" is simply at the bottom portion of the reticle, and doesn't appear to do anything but cut the sides off, since the normal aimpoint circle has a vertical line underneath the ring there anyway.

Not so new, it has been out for about 3 years.

      Review:
I've just received one of the Brownells CQB T-Dot EOTechs and I'll be posting a review of it here once I get some time with it: http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww189/wjt1169/Brownells%20CQB-T-Dot%20EOTech/Brownells-EOTech01-1024-B3.jpg From the Brownells web page located here: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=45367/Product/BROWNELLS-CQB-T-DOT

To me, it's a solution looking for a problem. With the standard Eotech reticle, you can just use the bottom of the 65 MOA circle as a reference for your CQB point of impact.
