Vortex PST low mount rings recommendations please

Have a Vortex PST 6-24 on my flat top and went with the Vortex recommended 3" mount. It sits too high for my liking - eye relief is too high for the weld. Anyone use some low mounts with success on the PST?

what is it mounted to? You will need to do some math. Maybe leave some room for a lens cap.
