Burris fast fire III mount question.

Ive purchased a fast fire 3 with the picatinny mount, and its in route to my home.

Is the stock picatinny mount that comes with it easy to take off, or are they built with it in place?

I assume it is held on by 2 small screws. I use a ADM fast fire mount for my Eotech MRDS and that is how it is held on so it makes sense for the factory mount to be the same way.

all mounting systems for the FF attach the same way that I've seen. Super easy to change. I use the FF2. You have to pull the mount off to change the battery (rarely need to) so it's simple.

Two screws, and two star lock washers.

I never used the lock washers that came with my FastFire II, and have not had any issues with the sight loosening - I've had it for maybe four years.

With the picatinny/weaver mount removed, the FastFire is compatible with any of the Burris mounts:
