Need a budget first.
I would get either a Burris or vortex diamondback in 3-9x40 with the ballistic reticle. Nothing cheaper.
You don't need a gunsmith to mount a scope, but if you want one to do it, buy your scope at turner's and they will mount it for you.Comment

Either one of these would be good http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-ProStaff...sin=B004MY5L9U or http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-ProStaff...sin=B004MY5L18sigpic

It is a 770. Heck a BSA would be of equal quality.----Sorry I just had to
Especially if you plan to hunt with it get a Leupold 3X9X40 or 3.5X10X40. That way you can put the scope on a better quality rifle later.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I found the same scope new on eBay for $169.99. Taxes and shipping included.Comment

For that particular rifle, I'd go with a redfield revenge, Leupold Mark II, or Nikon Prostaff 5Comment
