Scopes are pretty easy to research, I have always. Liked the bushnell banner series for entry level. Go Nikon if you want to step up and not break the bank. Buy the best ring you can afford.

Need a budget first.

I would get either a Burris or vortex diamondback in 3-9x40 with the ballistic reticle. Nothing cheaper.

You don't need a gunsmith to mount a scope, but if you want one to do it, buy your scope at turner's and they will mount it for you.

Go here get a ProStaff 5 2.5-10x with BDC and get the XR Scope Turret Package

Especially if you plan to hunt with it get a Leupold 3X9X40 or 3.5X10X40. That way you can put the scope on a better quality rifle later.

For that particular rifle, I'd go with a redfield revenge, Leupold Mark II, or Nikon Prostaff 5
