    Budget Optics

Found this earlier, thought it was pretty cool, so I wanted to share.

Pretty cool. Yeah. But even more comical.

Nice to see they went with Android too(, the device for people smart enough to not plug in their REAL personal information into their account on their device).

Once again proving that all you need is the answer. The question need not even be asked anymore.

Budget optics aren't. It's an interesting toy but probably better for dolts to use to post horrendously poorly edited videos of them missing or bump firing or doing some other idiotic thing to youtube than for anything else.

Why would I want to use a $400 phone with small battery for red dot
when reliable Bushnell TRS-25 costs only $70 with a long lasting battery?

Seems like a relatively inexpensive way to record the action during training. Or possibly when confronting an intruder.

Despite what was posted, there's no need to use your brand new ($$$) phone for this. Any cheap used phone would work just fine.

I have the free app loaded on my phone, but won't buy the mount, or every use it for a thing other than laughing with my friends.

Because your fancy shmancy Bushnell won't take pictures of your dinner and post them to Facebook after you shoot the bad guy.

You mean like freeze up or crash at the critical moment?

In the past yeah, but with the recent release of the $100 GoPro Hero 1, Polaroid Cube, Mobius action cam... there are better options in the $100 range.

The ORIGINAL budget optics= Iron sights.

Let me get this straight...I have to pay $350 to mount my $650 phone to my AR? Why not just buy a decent quality $400 scope?
