Thanks to one of your Forum members, he was kind enough to inquire about the condition of the Aimpoint T1 he had just received. Here's what he said: "The product arrived in a padded envelope with the optic and accompanying materials in individual ziplock-type baggies. No Aimpoint box was included. In addition, I noted that the battery was already installed." I appreciated his concern and would have expected better packaging from a quality company like Aimpoint. I called Aimpoint and was told that they bulk-packaged a number of products in this way specifically for dealers that wanted to sell the sight with a particular mount (i.e. - LaRue, etc.).
I checked our stock and found that we had 10 more of the same SKU packaged exactly the same way. In the past, the Aimpoint T1 has always come in a unique black box with a beveled corner and cut-out closed cell foam on the inside. The good news is that Aimpoint realized that this wasn't such a great idea, so 2015 will once again have nice packaging accompanying their products.
