    Optic for .17 WSM RF

I just got my new SavageB-Mag out of jail now I need to mount an optic on it, since it doesn't come with any sights, looking for a recommendation.

RR44, the APV is a nice choice, also take a look at the Nikon Rimfire EFR. I got a Bmag for cheap so I couldn't pass it up. It takes a long time to break in the bolt. It will be rough at first, and then smooth out over time. Because of its mechanism, it will always need more force though.

Got a smoking deal on a leupold VX3 3.5-10 so I ended up mounting it on the B-Mag

Post how yours groups after you break it in. Mine is a laser and precise at 100, but haven't stretched beyond that.

As long as you're considering the Nikon, take a look at Nikon's free software, SpotOn:

For the .17 HMR they have simulations of the 17gr V-Shok Speer TNT JHP at 2530 fps and the 17gr V-Shok Hornady V-Max at 2530 fps, listing yardage for the aiming points on the BDC reticle.

You can even account for atmospheric conditions - wind, humidity, altitude, barometric pressure - be warned though, it's addictive.
