Need Scope for M1A. Go with FFP?

I need a scope that will take the abuse from an M1A. I like the idea of a FFP scope BUT really am not proficient in optics to know if the $$ is worth it. Max distance at my range is 200 yards.

I as looking at Vortext PST scopes, love the warranty. Burris Vuracity look nice too.

Any thoughts?

I will never buy another scope over 10x that Is not FFP. The advantages of an FFP scope are just too great for anything outside of Benchrest shooting.

Having said that, under 10x I don't see a huge advantage to FFP.

The Viper is a great scope for the money. If you break it, Vortex will replace it no questions asked.

Not sure the extra $ is worth a FFP, especially for an M1A. As for a scope, suggest looking at US made - Leupold, Redfield Revolution, or the other more costly companies. Remember, the M1A tends to eat lesser scopes.....

I've been using a US made Burris for 25 years and it has been strong. For kicks, I ordered a Redfield Revolution TAC to get something with tactical turrets and something other than a duplex rectical.
