I had the same issue until I got LASIK.
Now I see it sharp and clear, before it looked fuzzy and pixilated.

Give the focusing reticles a shot. The vortex spitfire is a great choice

The reticle focus to the eye. I love it. Fast target acquisition great vortex warranty and got it super cheap on eBay. I got the 1x but just a word of warning that it doesnt work with a magnifier which is why they make a 3x as well

Keep in mind how reflex sights are intended to be used.
You don't focus on the reticle, but rather focus on your target and "paint" it with the reticle.

If you focus on the reticle itself you will exacerbate any perception of a deformed reticle.

I had to go from EOTech to 2moa Aimpoints because of astigmatism.

For me, the tiny dots that comprise the hologram, began 'dancing' on me. With a single, 2moa dot, the bloom was minimized, and the dancing stopped.

            YMMV...

Yes...understood I guess that I should qualify that the Spitfire is not a reflex sight but an illuminated reticle. I know it's two completely different things but out of frustration and stubborness to not get glasses at least specifically for shooting this was the best option for me.

It also prevented me from spending a lot more money on offset sights because I'm able to get absolute cowitness with my BUIS so that was just another plus

Right? The last Aimpoint PRO I looked at I saw a Y shaped reticle

It's funny now with PA optics I can see much better as long as the brightness is adjusted properly.

I too have astigmatism and RDS sucks for my eyes, as another stated above I see 3 little dots that makes up 1 dot..so I opted for a leupold vxr 1.25x4 variable scope w/illuminated reticle. For my eyes, I love it. With the reticle being etched onto the glass it gives you the option to have buis or not.

When you get glasses you may find either the front site post or the target is fuzzy. I use those KNS crosshair site posts and those fine lines can go away if your glasses are set to have the target in focus.

The fix for tire eyes are 1x4 or 1x6 scopes. Those you can adjust so both reticle and target are both in focus.

You guys don't use contact lenses to correct your astigmatisms? Get those or a good LASIK job and it should help.

My worry, if a situation comes up i dont want to have to fiddle with glasses. Ok bg, wait for me to find my glasses. Lol. I can use open sites and the eo fine. Just was looking into different optics, when i noticed the rds isnt a dot.

Watching my gf complain about dry eyes and dust when we are out in the desert just discourages me from getting contacts.

Seriously take a look at the Spitfire. While not a true red dot it can somewhat be used like a red dot and because you can focus the reticle it's as sharp as can be for the crappiest of eyes. Plus if you don't need to illuminate it it'll be black reticle and still as sharp as can be. Great price point as well

I'd recommend carrying a little bottle of Visine or saline solution with your shooting gear regardless of whether you wear contacts or not. If you shoot in high winds, it's helpful unless you wear full on goggles.

I never see a clear dot, don't care too - just put it on target and shoot...
