    Burris Elliminator scope on AR15

I am considering getting a Burris Eliminator scope for Christmas. Its pretty expensive. So I was curious if anyone has one mounted on a AR platform could give some feedback. Just pros and cons of someone who has used one. I am leaning towards the regular Eliminator not the Eliminator III. Mostly based on price. If anyone has information on the Eliminator III I would like to hear it also. Who knows I may be able to talk her into it.
This Scope would be mounted on a build I am doing right now. The barrel is a 20" Wylde 1 - 8 twist.

    Thank you

This scope has always intrigued me. I ran across one on the internet last year and proceeded to do all the research and read reviews of people I could who had them because to me it just seemed too good to be true. But at least the reviewers I read that had the Gen III all loved there's and said it worked as advertised. If that's the case, I want one.
I was surprised that I had never seen it talked about on Calguns before, although I don't visit the optics section too much. Only question is what I would put it on.
Laser range finder that supposedly works as well as most rangefinders out there, hundreds of loads can input into computer, and Gen III if I remember correctly helps a bit w wind reading as well. So the amber dot just shows up once you range your target and pull the trigger. Seems too good to be true, would love to hear about people who have Gen III.

The Nikon version of these was on sale a month ago for 249 at cabelas. I just missed out on that one. It does look like a cool scope but for some reason theyre discontinued in a lot of places. I also heard that the warranty on electronics on the scope is only like a year. Do your research and post a review id like to see it.

          thank you

Thank you for the feedback. I did as much research as I could online. I went ahead and ordered the Eliminator III. This set me back a little so I hope the rifle I am building will be done by May. I might try the scope out on another AR platform I have. I will let you know how it goes.

          Thank you

I look forward to feedback from a fellow Calgunner. Definitely interesting if works as advertised and have not read any negative reviews on Gen III. Good luck

Thank you. I will post a review once I get a chance to use it. Just keep in mind although I did order it, my wife is traditional, so it will probably get wrapped and put under the tree. Following Christmas, I probably will not have a chance to go shooting until mid January. I hope to go as soon as possible. All that said, as soon as I use it, I will give feedback.

              Thanks again
