Docter 2 vs Docter 3 sight?

I am aware that the Docter 3 adds a few features over the 2 but my question is, does the 3 warrant a $130 difference?
This will be a back up/close range sight mounted on a Elcan. I have to stick with something that has Docter mounting points or else I would go with a LED RMR.

I thought the big advantage was being able to switch between automatic and manual brightness adjustment. Also, being able to access wind and elevation controls from the rear.
