I love the aesthetics of these two sights the orange glass and the non scopish look. Perfect but I can't figure out if there is a performance difference between these two. Anyone tried them before?

One says its not rated for handguns or shotguns...your AK is neither of those, but still...I'd get the one that can handle everything. Besides that one also has a longer battery life.

I sent the one without the switch back to PA. I liked the sight, but in a really dark room, it was useless, since the optical sensor decided that it had the cover on, and would turn itself off, even with a weapon light pointed downrange at a white door and turned on. Not a bump in the night optic. For that, you either have to go with the switch version, or something a little more expensive. For one of these micro reflex sights, I'd go with something a bit pricier if it's a gun you rely on for HD. I like the primary arms/holosun sights, but I didn't get a good vibe from this sight for a defensive weapon.

MD-ADS from PA is good to go. Also Burris Fastfire III, or a Trijicon if you want to spend the bucks...Personally, for an AK, I'd do the MD-ADS.
