On a tight budget, for a rear magpul, something as simple as a clip from a hardware store will work if you find it in the right size/shape for your rifle and sling. You support with tension on the front--the rear is just to carry it, so no biggy.

Are you talking about one of these?

If so, those slots should be wide enough to run your sling through instead of needing a specific sling swivel and mount.

I think i have a mount up front, but not in the rear.

That's the point; it's the mount up front that counts as this is the mount that you load with tension to steady the rifle, so you need not be as concerned with how you mount the rear.

Ok, so just loop the sling through one of the wide slots on the stock, problem solved. That's why those slots are there. Those are your mounts.

Look at the stock in this picture, see how it's just looped through the hole?

You can do that on the rear(either just through the slot, or all the way around the buttpad), the diagonal one, or even around the buffer tube using one of the slots on top depending on where you prefer your sling to be attached.

Or you could spend money on some screw in adapter just to have a rear QD mount. Or spend money on a piece of nylon that ties off the same way as the image, but has a metal loop for a snap hook.

If you're on a tight budget and $20 is an issue, just use the method that costs nothing, since spending money for QD hardware you don't need isn't going to accomplish anything.

              This.

If you need some sort of metal clip on the rear for some reason, a larger carabiner should work just fine. You can get those at walmart for a couple of bucks.
