    Nikon vs Vortex

So i went ahead and purchased a vortex crossfire 2 and a nikon p-223. I mounted the p223 on my 300blk and a crossfire 2 on my Hog Hunter. I actually just wanted to see how well the Hog Hunter groups.

Both scope was well and held zero but when it came down to adjustments, the nikon tracked much better and to my surprise, it was spot on. I zero'd it at 100 yards and tracked true all the way out to 550 yards and back. Im impress with this 140 dollar scope.

On the Vortex, a few bucks less, it was nice and held zero. I decided to adjust it from 100 to 550 yards. It shot about 12" high. After i reset back to 0 and tried to shoot at 100 yards, its now shooting 4" high. I had to rezero it but now i think it bottomed out. It wont go any lower. Im sadden..

Anyone experience this with the crossfire 2?

Are your adjustments based on confirmed dope figures you used in the past?

I don't have any experience with the Crossfire line, any chance you just got a lemon?

Could of been a lemon. My adjustments are used from my calculation app after velocity, bc, gr, etc are entered in. The Nikon was spot on with the app. The crossfire however, was way off and it seems like its not true 1/4 adjustments. Takes about 4.5-5 clicks for an inch instead of the actual 4 it says on the cap.

Might have to give vortex a call.

I've noticed that both perform exceptionally well for what you're paying.
That said, I went with a Prostaff with BCD. Clear glass, nice FOV, and the BDC works surprising well.
