All the time. Ive bought demo scope and binos. Every time I couldn't tell them from nib
FYI: demo can also mean they were returned from a retailer but the box was never opened. I learned about this via google.

I'd get one, especially if it were a leupold with gold ring.

Yeah, I've bought cheaper demo scopes, and fairly expensive demo scopes. As long as the retailer you're buying from isn't BS'ng you about the condition of the scope and you still get the warranty on it, it's not a big deal.

Keep in mind some demo scopes wont include the same warranty as a new scope. Quite a few companies do this.

Demo? You can buy used Burris & Vortex optics and their lifetime warranty applies - no receipt needed...

Most Demos are gtg. I purchased a "display" (demo) leuopld 3 years ago. Saved me $50, and it was in perfect condition.

If the product was worth a damn to begin with then demo just means open box. If it wasn't, then demo by c4 is a good suggestion for a method of disposal.
