    Spending $200 on a 1-4x scope for AR15

Hey all, get your clubs out, we have a dead horse to beat!

I have around $200 to spend on variable scope

I ordered the Bushnell AR Optics 1-4x24mm BDC Riflescope with QD Burris mount for $197 from PSA, it hasn't shipped yet so i could cancel it.

I was looking at the Primary Arms 1-4X Illuminated scope (30mm tube) for $119, i would be at $220 after buying to mount.

Also considering the Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x

    Or other suggestions...

The only discernible difference is the illumination on the optic. Any input would be great!
    Thanks

I think a good reticle is what I want in a scope for an AR.
If you're spending a lot of time at 1x then the 1-4 primary arms is good. But if you shoot for distance with the ability to work as a red dot, then I would go for the BDC(or at least a mildot)

Did you factor in the $20 rebate going on right now for Buriss PEPR mounts? If not, then the Primary Arms scope will fit your budget.

I'm actually running a poverty setup with that same Primary Arms 1-4x scope on a Burris PEPR QD mount on a PSA 20" upper and I am very happy with the results for the cost. I did this to see how much I liked optics on an AR the weight increase was noticeable but it was definitely worth it. I would highly recommend it if you just want to try out optics in the 1-4x range or use as a temporary scope until you can afford something better.

                  Millet Designated Marksmen 1-4x24

Natchez Shooters Supply currently has the Millet Designated Marksman 1-4x24 on sale. They also have the Burris QD PEPR mount for sale too.

                  Both are excellent quality.

The Millet DMS is on sale over at Natchez. The Burris QD PEPR has a $20 rebate currently available.

Quality over magnification, look into a Weaver V-3 1-3x20 for about $170.
