    inexpensive red dot scope

    Hello to all,

I just took posession my first AR (cmmg) since the assualt weapons bill passed years ago. I just found out about the fablous bullet Button so I just had to get another.

What I now have for the first time is a nice Stag upper "flat top" and want to put some sort of RED DOT on it but don't want to spend big bucks.

All I'd like is some sort of inexpensive red dot that's rugged kinda Military looking/cool that'll get me by until I can get the bucks for a nicer one.

Can anyone recommend one for me and what type of mount will it need to get it over the front post/sight???

Thank you all for any responses.

Here is a great little Red Dot Sight that does not cost a lot but work very well.

    They are $160.00

      csgunworks,

WOW that a nice looking red dot that should fit me pocket book.
      What model/brand is it?
Does the mount/bracket come with it?
Will it clear my front sight post using it?
      Do you offer it?

      Many thanks,

          uclaplinker,

Thanks for the info. That opyic you offered is just as good as the other and I'm gonna look into this for a XMas gift for myself and a buddy. Besides it comes with a magnifier too! What a bargain.

I have a lot of confidence for Scott @ Liberty Optics. He cares about the community and takes care of his customers.

The features of the Strikefire make it a compelling package for people who want a low-cost red-dot for a range AR.

I think I'm going to give this a try.. heard a lot of good stuff about them. My wallet is hurting right now and can't get a real Aimpoint.

i used one on a Kel Tec for a while. Worked well. The mounting system wasn't real tough and one of the bolts came off.

I wouldn't hesitate to use one again, but it's not a great optic. It's also pretty ugly.

It is a nice optic at a nice price, with a warranty.
