1 scope to share with all my rifles?

I own: benjamin 342 air rifle, ruger 10/22, Gew 98 mauser,k98,mosin 91/30,mosin type53, sks,ak-47, m1 garand. I was wondering if there is 1 scope I can share with all my rifles?
    thanks

even if you could, would you want to?

every time you move the scope to a new rifle, you'd need to re-zero.

and for the M1, it doesn't lend itself to scope usage.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Assuming the mount you're using for this retained zero, you'd still need to re-adjust the windage and elevation every time you swapped it from one rifle to another. That kind of makes a zero stop unusable, and remembering which rifle is actually set for zero, zero on the scope, then the next needs to be adjusted to what to be zero'd... that's just asking for a headache.

Yes, it's possible. Actually implementing it and keeping everything straightened out would be a nightmare.

Your air rifle will break most firearms scopes very quickly.

Edit, I just looked up the model of air rifle you listed and I assumed incorrectly. Your air rifle will be fine with any scope designed for a firearm. For some stupid reason, I thought you had a spring piston air rifle. I was wrong/stupid and should have done my homework before posting.

for those who think I'm too hard on others who post incorrect info, I'll publicly call myself out when I'm wrong too.

Not with that line up. You need a scope for each rifle if you plan on using them often. I'd just stick with irons on most of what you list.

thanks for the info. It sounds like a pain in the *** to remove it and set it up each time.

You do not know much about scopes and mounting systems do you?

Wrong way to go about it. You need more than one scope/mounts/rings.

Because I can't see close up worth a **** anymore, iron sights are useless to me. I have scoped, red dotted, holographed, ACOGed every AR, Shot and long gun I own.

...and each one is selected for the individual weapon. Expensive? Yes. Works well? Yes.

The older and more tired your eyes get, the better those scopes look. Once the front post goes blurry, it's time to adapt. A 1-6 with a reticle will be sharper than a red dot and front post combo for far sighted shooters.

Another reason against using a single scope is that xxcept for the Ruger and perhaps the AK, none of those rifles are particularly suited for a scope mount. (I don't know anything about the air rifle so my comments exclude that.)

On the bolt guns, you'll either have to drill & tap the receiver, which ruins collector value. Or use a scout mount, which replaces the rear sight leaf. When going that route, you'll need long eye relief scopes because they are mounted so far forward. But that precludes using the same scope as the Ruger setup since that is the more standard eye relief of about 3".

benjamin 342 air rifle - air rifle scope
ruger 10/22, - wide range, 3-9x40 would be decent
Gew 98 mauser, - leave it unless your eyesight is failing
k98, - leave it unless your eyesight is failing
mosin 91/30, - several options. a scout mount/scope on the dovetails or a brass stacker
mosin type53 - same as above
sks - lots of diff side mounts, dont need to break the bank.
ak-47 - side rails, forward mounts, optics options a plenty
m1 garand - leave it unless you really need it for your eyes, good mount would be expensive.

Your firearms are built for different purposes, so in addition to having to re-zero every time, you also might think about different scopes for different purposes. With an AK, you may benefit from quick target acquisition, whereas with a Mauser, you may make good use of a high powered scope for long range shooting.
