Aimpoint Micro T-2 (release date question)

Does anyone know the actual release date for the T-2? The website just says it'll be released in September, but I haven't heard any buzz on this yet. Figured more people would be interested in this...especially if this is their first red dot optic (like me).

If it's going to come out soon, I'd rather wait for this one. But if it's still going to be a while before it comes out, I was just going to go with the T-1.

If anyone has any information, can you please share?

    Thank you.

      Chewy,
That would be nice, but I have a class I'm taking at the end of October and I'd like to have an optic rather than just my iron sights. If the T-2s aren't coming out anytime soon, I'll probably just order the T-1. It's a great optic anyways. The only downside is that I might be missing out on a discount when the T-2s come out (like you mentioned).

At this point, according to sources, the release date is going to be mid October, but technically, the original release date was changed from September, to Fall 2014, which obviously creates a 2-month window.

I definitely want one, but personally, I think the price-point is going to be in the realm of $700+, or possibly closer to the Aimpoint M4.

Yep, I will have a T-1 for sale.

              Thanks for the info 45R.
I actually saw a good deal on a T-1 yesterday and just bought it. No regrets though. The T-1 has proven itself over the years and I know it'll serve me well.

I'd still like to know how the T-2 works out for anyone that gets it though. I'm sure someone will post up some reviews once it becomes available to the public.

Do you mind sharing where you saw that deal on a T1? I've been shopping for a while.

Be interesting to see how these sell considering they are priced as much as variable scopes now.

Still trying to decide if it is worth selling my T1 2MOA + IO cover for a T2.

Hmm, not too bad. Minus the amount, it seems that I can expect to pay a smidgeon over $650 for the T-2 (hopefully). I like Larue, but I already have DD mounts, and Larue mounts are way too heavy. The popular LT660 weighs 1/4 pound.

Unfortunately the optic isn't being offered by Aimpoint w/o a mount. Thats how we usually buy them (without a mount) and package it with the DD, Bobro, or LaRue.

They're not being offered with the standard Aimpoint mount, or are you referring to bulk packs?
