    spotting scope help

Hey guys the wife is asking me what i want for my bday. I decide a spotting scope. So problem is i cant pick. I have a budget of about 200 give or take a little. I have been looking and have seen some barskas gladiator and blackhawk series, tascos world class series, Redfield, and celestron.

Does any one have any experience with these in the 20-60x60 or x80. This is strictly for paper punching. I. Looking to see 22, 223 and some other caliber holes in paper at most 300 yards away. Now the 300 wont be often, 100 yards will be 90% of the time. Please help guys.

In all of the threads on all of the gun forums asking about what $200 spotting scope to buy the consensus seems to be the Konuspot-80.

Beards and Hats has it for $199.95, but I can't tell if "free expedited shipping" means free shipping or if it means you pay for regular shipping and get a free upgrade to "expedited" shipping. I also don't know B&H's policy on collecting California sales tax.

B&H does not charge CA sales tax.

And Amazon only charges sales tax for items "shipped and sold by amazon"

There are a lot of other sellers that sell from Amazon's stock and you aren't charged sales tax, even if it comes from the same warehouse. This includes Amazon Prime items. Just look to right where it says "Other Sellers on Amazon" - click the NN new items link below that and you can easily find those sellers.

Earlier this month or late last month DVOR had the Konusport for $169. I picked one up and it's certainly a great spotting scope at that price.
